Jameson is a village in Daviess County, Missouri, United States. The population was 120 at the 2000 census, at which time it was a town.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 125 people, 56 households, and 37 families residing in the town. The population density was 541.7 people per square mile (210.6/km²). There were 70 housing units at an average density of 316.0 per square mile (122.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.17% White, and 0.83% from two or more races.

There were 56 households out of which 28.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.6% were married couples living together, 14.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.9% were non-families. 32.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.14 and the average family size was 2.54.

In the town the population was spread out with 20.0% under the age of 18, 20.0% from 18 to 24, 21.7% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 15.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 71.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 71.4 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $21,750, and the median income for a family was $26,250. Males had a median income of $22,189 versus $14,688 for females.
